22 out of 33 rent cases approved; emphasis on timely payment and safety of government-rented properties
Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) in the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Poonch.
The committee held detailed deliberations with concerned departments and private building owners regarding rent assessment cases of government offices functioning in rented accommodations.
Out of 33 cases taken up for consideration, 22 were approved, 02 rejected, while 09 were deferred pending further clarification and submission of requisite documents. The cases pertained to departments including Education, Revenue, Health, Ayush, Handloom, Handicraft, Agriculture, CDPO, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM).
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the timely payment of rent to private building owners and underscored the importance of ensuring safety and security of government-rented properties. He directed departments to strictly adhere to guidelines and complete all formalities without delay.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Sayeed, ACP, concerned Executive Engineers, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar Headquarters and officers from DSHO, FCS&CA, Ayush, Handicraft, Handloom, Sheep Husbandry along with other departmental representatives. Private building owners also participated in the deliberations.
