Jammu: Additional Director General J&K Armed Police Ananad Jain accompanied by Vinod Kumar DIG IR Jammu and Sameer Sharma DIG AP Jammu on Saturday reviewed functioning of IRP 7th Battalion and Border 1st Battalion at Amb Gharota, Jammu to assess the functioning and operational preparedness of both the units.
The ADG received a ceremonial Guard of Honour and was briefed by commandants on the current security situation, deployment strategies, training standards, and infrastructure status. During his visit, he engaged with officers and personnel, commending their commitment and professionalism in maintaining peace and security. He conducted inspections of residential barracks, training facilities, weaponry, and other amenities, emphasizing the need for ongoing training upgrades, physical fitness, and the integration of modern technology to address emerging security threats. The ADG highlighted the significance of inter-unit coordination for effective responses during emergencies and inaugurated a CCTV Surveillance Room at the Battalion Headquarters.
