Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that SHO Police Station Khrew, Inspector Naieem Rashid, during routine patrolling conducted in coordination with the SDPO, seized four L&T machines from Ladhoo, Khrew. The machines were found to be involved in illegal mining activitiesin Awantipora.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been taken up to identify all persons involved and to prevent recurrence of such illegal activities. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement of the law and appealed people to report illegal mining activities at their nearest police units.
