Rajouri : As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month celebrations, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri Rajesh Gupta, along with his team, Friday imparted crucial road safety tips to vehicle operators who came for seeking fitness certificates of their vehicles.
The ARTO emphasized the mandatory fitment of retro-reflective tapes on vehicles, highlighting their vital role in improving visibility and preventing accidents, particularly during night-time driving. “Proper use of retro-reflective tapes significantly reduces the risk of road mishaps by making vehicles clearly visible to other commuters,” he stressed.
Special focus was laid on safe driving during the prevailing foggy conditions.
The vehicle operators were advised to maintain safe speed, use fog lights appropriately, avoid rash driving and ensure proper functioning of vehicle lights, brakes and other safety-related components.
