Srinagar : President J&K National Conference Dr Fraooq Abdullah Thursday reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to the restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued here on Thursday Dr. Abdullah emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity and identity of the people, asserting that there can be no compromise between development and respect for constitutional rights. Dr. Farooq highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Omar Abdullah-led government, which is focused on providing tangible relief to the region’s citizens. The government’s dual focus is on ensuring both economic and social development while striving to restore the constitutional safeguards that define Jammu and Kashmir’s unique status. Dr. Farooq noted that the development initiatives are aimed at improving living standards, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening infrastructure, all while upholding the dignity and rights of the people. He reaffirmed the J&K National Conference’s commitment to advocating for justice, equality, and the restoration of special constitutional protections that were previously revoked.
