Srinagar: The UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) at the University of Kashmir has initiated a week-long Faculty Development Programme focused on Academic Leadership and Resource Management. This program aims to enhance leadership skills among faculty, improve resource planning, and promote interdisciplinary approaches within higher education institutions.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan emphasized the necessity for academic leaders who can adapt to institutional changes while balancing academic vision with responsible resource management to ensure quality and sustainability in education. Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir, underscored the importance of ongoing faculty development, stating that leadership in academia must evolve to meet changing educational demands. Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal noted that structured training programs are essential for improving institutional efficiency and enabling faculty to engage effectively in policy and governance.
