*Baramulla, 08 Jan : As part of its community policing initiative, Baramulla Police conducted 30 public outreach programmes across the district to strengthen police–public relations and enhance trust with the community.
The outreach programmes were conducted at the following 30 locations: Amm Bhat Puthar, Narpora, Machikrand, Shrai, Dever, Katbug, Jetty, Pakhlan, Suhail Colony Aribaba, Gulistan, Puthar, Kohlina, Dervashbagh, Ramgaie (Kalgie), Bagh-i-Duran, Hilpatribal, Treran, Hardbani, Mohrawali-2, Shahi Hamdan Colony, Wagoora, Azad Gunj, Kanispora, Baliharan, Janwanpora, Shah Mohalla, Magrayporas, Dulanja, Sangna, and Goiwara.
The programmes focused on creating awareness regarding law and order, drug abuse prevention, cybercrime, traffic safety, and other public safety issues. Police officers interacted directly with local residents, listened to their concerns, and assured timely redressal of genuine grievances.
Baramulla Police reiterated its commitment to people-friendly policing and urged citizens to cooperate with the police in maintaining peace, harmony, and public order in the district.
