Kathua, 7 Jan : The Chief Minister today e-inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of several key development projects in Kathua district, with a total investment of ₹11.58 crore, aimed at strengthening livelihoods, education, and rural infrastructure.
The projects include the establishment of Bamboo and Agarbatti Common Facility Centres (CFCs), a Kriti Showroom, hatchery upgradation under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), and the construction of new classrooms at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kathera.
These initiatives are expected to generate employment opportunities, promote local entrepreneurship, enhance agricultural and allied sector productivity, and improve educational infrastructure in the district. The Chief Minister emphasized that such projects reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development and sustainable growth, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
Officials and local representatives were present during the virtual inauguration, highlighting the significance of timely execution to ensure maximum benefit to the people of Kathua.
