DC B’pora undertakes Tour of Aloosa Tehsil, Reviews Public Service Delivery

Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, Saturday undertook an extensive tour of Aloosa Tehsil to review the functioning of key government offices and assess the delivery of public services at the grassroots level.

During the tour, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Tehsil Office Aloosa and interacted with the staff, stressing the importance of efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly service delivery. She also reviewed the progress of land record digitisation and directed the concerned officials to ensure its timely and accurate completion.

The Deputy Commissioner visited the Ayush Health and Wellness Centre, Aloosa, where she reviewed its functioning and emphasised the need for accessible and quality public healthcare services. She also inspected the Health and Wellness Centre, Aloosa, under Medical Block Bandipora, and took stock of patient care, available facilities and staff strength. The officials were directed to ensure optimal utilisation of resources to improve healthcare delivery.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Sheikh Muqam area of Aloosa Tehsil, where she interacted with local residents, listened to their grievances and assured them of all possible support from the district administration.

The tour also included a visit to the Aloosa Apple Agro Producers Cooperative Limited (FPO), where the Deputy Commissioner interacted with members and reviewed the activities being undertaken. She highlighted the role of Farmer Producer Organisations in enhancing farmers’ incomes, improving market access and promoting collective growth.

The Deputy Commissioner visited the Animal Husbandry Unit, Aloosa, and reviewed its functioning, assessing the services being provided to livestock rearers. She stressed the importance of effective implementation of animal husbandry schemes to strengthen farmers’ livelihoods and support the rural economy.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Block Development Office (BDO) Aloosa and emphasised the need for efficient public service delivery, timely disposal of public grievances and enhanced accountability to ensure responsive and people-centric governance. She issued on-spot instructions for Better implementation of SBM and expressed concern over the poor performance of the same in the Block.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) at Potushay and reviewed the availability of machinery, manpower and overall preparedness for snow clearance operations. She directed the officials to remain fully prepared to deal with any exigency, particularly during the winter season.
