Kulgam: Police in Kulgam have announced the suspension of Virtual Private Network (VPN) services for two months, effective immediately.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the decision, made by the Deputy Commissioner of Kulgam, aims to maintain public order and security amid concerns regarding the potential misuse of VPNs, which could hinder lawful monitoring and pose risks to public safety. Authorities have urged the public to comply with this order and cooperate with both the district administration and law enforcement. They have also warned that any violations of the order will result in strict legal consequences under applicable laws. In its statement Police emphasized the importance of public cooperation in ensuring peace and security for the community.
