Srinagar| Dec, 31 : The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a charge sheet against Ghulam Nabi Hudda in the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court of Budgam, related to FIR No. 13/2023 under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
In statement issued here on Wednesday Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir said that the case arose from a complaint according to which Gh Nabi Hudda has in the year 2021 falsely presented himself as a high-ranking government official and promised to secure government jobs for the complainant and others in exchange for money.
The complainant transferred substantial amounts, totaling lakhs of rupees, into Hudda’s bank account in nine installments based on these false assurances. However, Hudda failed to deliver the promised employment or refund the money, leading to allegations of cheating. Following the complaint, the EOW conducted a thorough investigation, which confirmed the validity of the claims against Hudda. The investigation revealed that he had intentionally deceived the complainant, resulting in significant financial loss. The evidence gathered during the investigation supports the conclusion that Hudda’s actions constitute an offense under Section 420 IPC. Consequently, the EOW has completed its investigation and submitted the chargesheet for judicial review.
