BJP leadership pays tributes to former MLA Ram Nath Manhas on his death anniversary, recall his contribution to society,party

Chhamb (Jammu), 31 Dec : J&K BJP President and MP (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma, accompanied by Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, paid heartfelt floral tributes to former MLA Late Shri Ram Nath Manhas ji on his death anniversary, at Chamb, remembering his immense contribution to society, democracy, and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The tribute programme witnessed the presence of District Prabhari Vinay Mahajan, District President Kuldeep Sharma, District Seh-Prabhari Vaishno Devi, former MLA Dr. Krishan Lal, Daljit Chib, Jugal Dogra, Jagdish Bhagat, Ram Swaroop, and several senior BJP leaders and workers. The programme was organized by Samiti members Bhupinder Singh, Sukhdev, Ashok Singh Chib, and others.
While paying the tributes, Sat Sharma said that Late Shri Ram Nath Manhas ji was a symbol of ideological commitment, courage, and selfless public service. He recalled that born in December 1921 and passing away on 31 December 2003, Shri Ram Nath Manhas devoted his entire life to the service of the nation and society. Sat Sharma highlighted that as a former MLA from 1977 to 1983 and as State General Secretary of the BJP, Shri Manhas strengthened the party’s organizational base in challenging times and worked tirelessly to uphold democratic and nationalist values. His life teaches us that politics is a medium of service, sacrifice, and dedication to the people, he said.
Jugal Kishore Sharma stated that Late Shri Ram Nath Manhas ji’s role in public movements and agitations for social justice remains a source of inspiration for generations of BJP workers. He recalled that Shri Manhas actively participated in the historic Praja Parishad Andolan, fearlessly courted arrests, and even went to jail while fighting for the rights of the people and the integrity of the nation. He stood firmly with the ideology of nationalism and cultural unity, which continues to guide the BJP today, he added.
Mohan Lal Bhagat said that Late Shri Ram Nath Manhas ji lived a life rooted in simplicity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to public welfare. He emphasized that Shri Manhas always remained connected with the grassroots and worked relentlessly for the upliftment of the common man.
Daljit Chib said that Late Shri Ram Nath Manhas ji’s sacrifices during difficult times laid a strong foundation for the party’s growth in the region.
Kuldeep Sharma added that his ideals and dedication will continue to inspire BJP workers to serve society with honesty and commitment.
