250 KVA Electric Sub-Station Commissioned at CHC Thathri: DDC Doda inaugurates newly developed sub station

Doda : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Harvinder Singh Saturday inaugurated a 250 KVA Electric sub-station at Community Health Centre (CHC)-Thathri.
The commissioning of the sub-station will significantly enhance the operational efficiency of CHC Thathri by providing a stable power supply for critical medical equipment, emergency services and patient care. It will also benefit people living in adjoining areas.
The sub-station has been executed under the District Capex at a cost of Rs. 39.83 lakh by the Sub-Division Thathri falling under the JPDCL Electric Division- Kishtwar.
The DDC underlined the urgency of strengthening essential infrastructure, especially in the health sector, to improve service delivery in rural and semi-urban areas. He directed the concerned department to ensure proper maintenance and efficient operation of the facility.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the local DDC Councilor, SDM, Tehsildar, PO ICDS, BMO, Ex-En JPDCL along with other officers and officials.
Additionally the District Development Commissioner reviewed the status of ongoing developmental activities and assessed the functioning of government offices. He also convened public grievance redressal camp at the local Dak Banglow.
He inspected the offices of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Tehsil Office and Municipal Committee Office and took stock of the developmental works being executed in the sub-division. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of projects with strict adherence to quality standards.
The DDC also interacted with local residents and public representatives to listen to their grievances and demands. He assured that genuine issues would be addressed on priority.
Later, the DDC inspected Tehsil Library, where he reviewed the available infrastructure and facilities for students. He interacted with the students present and encouraged them to make optimal use of library resources for academic excellence, competitive examinations and overall personality development.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new Tehsil Office building at Phagsoo.
The foundation stone was laid in the presence of DDC Councilor Thathri, Sandeep Singh Manhas and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sheetal Sharma, along with other officers, officials and local representatives. The project is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 75 lakh by PWD (R&B).
