Jammu : A high-level review meeting to assess the status of expenditure against funds released in the current financial year was held Friday in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Agriculture Jammu. Director Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Jammu Anil Gupta chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director (Extension) Sanjay Anand; Joint Director (SLUB/Farms) Aman Jyoti Sharma; Deputy Director Planning, Accounts Officer, all Sectoral Heads, all Chief Agriculture Officers of Jammu Division, Technical Officers, State Heads and representatives of insurance companies along with the staff of the Directorate of Agriculture.
The meeting took a comprehensive review of physical and financial progress achieved under Central Schemes, CAPEX, NABARD and HADP against the funds released for the financial year 2025–26. The proposed action plans under different Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the financial year 2026–27 were also discussed in detail.
The Director set a one day deadline for furnishing action plans for FY 2026–27 under the Central schemes. He emphasized optimal utilization of funds, strict adherence to financial rules and outcome-oriented implementation of schemes.
The Chief Agriculture Officers were asked to expedite field-level execution and ensure timely submission of utilization certificates to avoid lapse of funds.
The Director also reviewed the enrollment status under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the Rabi season. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the district-wise enrolment targets are achieved by December 31, 2025- the last date for registration.
