Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore: District Admin G’bal organizes Workshop on Good Governance Practices & Vision 2047

Ganderbal : As part of the ongoing ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign under Good Governance Week-2025, the District Administration Ganderbal Tuesday organized a comprehensive workshop on Good Governance Practices and Initiatives in the District Ganderbal.
The workshop aimed at deliberating upon effective governance mechanisms and preparing a visionary roadmap for the district’s holistic and sustainable development in alignment with the national goals of Vision 2047.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, who was chief guest in the event in his address highlighted the objective of the workshop, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches and community-driven solutions to achieve sustainable development goals.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Manzoor Ahmad; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; General Manager DIC, Additional Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat/ Development, and other panelists and departmental heads, district officers and officials were present in the event.
In his Address, DC stated that the Vision 2047 document would serve as a comprehensive blueprint for transforming Ganderbal into a model district that effectively balances development with environmental and social sustainability.
The workshop held detailed discussion on preparing a Vision Document for the District Ganderbal for the year 2047, District @100.
During the workshop, panelists and representatives from various departments engaged in detailed discussions on key sectors critical to the district’s long-term growth. The participants shared insights, experiences, and strategic recommendations across a wide spectrum of development themes.
Key subjects deliberated during the workshop included Education and Skill Development, Environmental Sustainability, Youth and Sports Development, and sharing of Good Governance Practices and Initiatives.
They shared valuable perspectives and reaffirmed their commitment to collaboratively work towards achieving the envisioned goals for the district.
The Vision 2047 document will function as a strategic guide for the district administration with clearly defined goals, milestones, and actionable steps. It aims to position Ganderbal as a model district excelling in education, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and social equity.
A film on 24*7 Water Supply by Jal Shakti department Ganderbal was also screened on the occasion.
The workshop concluded with a Question-Answer session, during which audiences posed questions to the participating panelists which were answered to their satisfaction.
Additional Deputy Commissioner in his Vote of Thanks lauded the panelists for presenting thoughtful ideas for the overall development of Ganderbal district.
