Srinagar|Dec, 24 : J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday said nearly 48 per cent of Srinagar city now has access to round-the-clock electricity. He said similar upgrades are underway in other districts to ensure 24×7 power supply.
Chief Minister congratulated Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on successfully making another 83 areas in Srinagar 24-hour power zones following a successful RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme) trial with zero power cuts.
“With this, 108 areas in Srinagar now enjoy round-the-clock, uninterrupted electricity supply, benefiting 1.25 lac households, nearly 48% of the city. Similar upgrades are underway in other districts to ensure 24×7 power supply,” the Chief Minister’s Office said in a post on X.
