Srinagar: A one-day awareness camp was organised by the Area Marketing Office, Srinagar, at Panzenara to create awareness among youth, farmers and traders about various job-oriented and self-employment government schemes, with special focus on the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP and PMFME schemes.
During the programme, detailed information was provided regarding the objectives, eligibility criteria, financial assistance and subsidy components of the schemes. Participants were also sensitised about the role of the department in marketing fruits and vegetables within and
outside the Union Territory. Mohammad Shafi Rather, Area Marketing Officer, Srinagar, along with Bashir Ahmad Wani, Assistant Grading and Marketing Officer, Srinagar, gave a comprehensive overview of Project No. 4 Strengthening of Agriculture Marketing under the HADP scheme. Representatives from allied departments, including the Horticulture Production Department, Agriculture Department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and Rural Development Department, also participated and shared valuable practical insights during interactive sessions.bThe awareness programme witnessed active participation of stakeholders, who expressed keen interest in availing benefits under various government schemes.
