Sunderbani (Rajouri) : National Mathematics Day 2025 was celebrated at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani, with a program honoring the legacy of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The event featured Chief Guest Shri Rakesh Verma, Zonal Education Officer, who encouraged students to develop a passion for mathematics inspired by Ramanujan’s dedication and achievements. The celebration included a documentary that showcased Ramanujan’s life and contributions, serving as a tribute to his influence on modern mathematics. An Inter-School Zone-Level Quiz Competition followed, with participation from five local higher secondary schools, fostering a spirit of competition and collaboration among students. Lecturer Anju Bala welcomed attendees and introduced the dignitaries, while Lecturer Arun Dutta coordinated the event, ensuring smooth proceedings. All participants received certificates of appreciation, highlighting their involvement in the program. Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, noting that the event enhanced their understanding of Ramanujan’s legacy and provided a supportive environment for academic excellence. The program concluded with participants feeling inspired to further explore the significance of mathematics in their studies.
