Baramulla, December 21:As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week (December 19–25), Day 03 was marked across Baramulla district with a series of public-centric initiatives aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
On the third day, departments organized grievance redressal camps, awareness programmes, and service delivery drives at tehsil and block levels. Officers and officials interacted directly with citizens to address public grievances, provide on-the-spot resolutions, and disseminate information about various government welfare schemes and departmental services.
Special emphasis was laid on timely disposal of grievances, simplification of procedures, and ensuring last-mile delivery of services. Awareness sessions were also conducted to familiarize citizens with online platforms, eligibility criteria, and benefits under different flagship schemes.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to citizen-centric governance, ensuring responsiveness, transparency, and effective implementation of development programmes. The active participation of the public and coordinated efforts of officers and field functionaries were key highlights of the day.
Good Governance Week activities will continue in the coming days with a focus on enhancing public service delivery, strengthening institutional mechanisms, and promoting participatory governance across all areas of Baramulla district.
