Good Governance Week:Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore Week Commences in B’pora

Bandipora : District Administration Bandipora Friday began the observance of the nationwide Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” with a series of citizen-centric activities aimed at strengthening last-mile service delivery, transparency and effective grievance redressal across the district.
On the first day, grievance redressal camps were organised at block and panchayat levels for disposal of pending public grievances registered on different portals. Mega camps at block level were also initiated to ensure wider public outreach.
Awareness, disposal and saturation camps related to online public service delivery were also conducted, wherein citizens were informed about various e-services and assisted in availing benefits.
Representatives from different departments participated in block and panchayat level camps, interacting directly with citizens and addressing issues related to social security schemes, Mission YUVA, PM Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Yojana and other welfare initiatives. Special Gram Sabhas were also initiated with emphasis on grievance redressal and saturation of flagship schemes.
As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, the Department of Fisheries issued licences for the current year to fishermen of Mukdamyari and adjoining areas. The department also conducted an awareness programme to apprise fishermen about various beneficiary-oriented schemes and initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting sustainable fisheries practices.
Meanwhile, the Celebration of Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” was held at Panchayat Halqa Aragam Gojerpati, Block Bandipora, where officers interacted with local residents to disseminate information about government services and welfare schemes.
In another significant outreach activity, a Grievance Redressal Camp was organized at Arin, Bandipora under the Good Governance Week.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to citizen-centric governance and stated that activities under Good Governance Week will continue throughout the scheduled period to ensure efficient, transparent and responsive administration.
