DC Reasi reviews progress of dev works, govt schemes in various sectors

Reasi: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik Thursday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the overall progress of ongoing developmental works and implementation of flagship government schemes across various sectors in the district.
At the outset, officials delivered a detailed sector-wise presentation highlighting the status of major projects and schemes being executed by different departments.
Deputy Commissioner directed the district officers to expedite achievement of targets under the flagship schemes of the Central and UT Governments.
While reviewing the road connectivity status, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to prioritize upgradation of roads to enhance accessibility and strengthen connectivity infrastructure across the district.
Reviewing projects of the Public Works Department (PWD) and PMGSY, she instructed the concerned officers to mobilize men and machinery, accelerate execution and ensure completion of works within stipulated timelines.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of covering all eligible beneficiaries under Government welfare schemes. She called for strong inter-departmental coordination, transparency and commitment in the implementation.
Assessing the education sector performance, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO to ensure delivery of quality education in all government schools, with regular monitoring of academic and infrastructural standards.
She further instructed all officers to conduct regular field visits and effectively utilize the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ action plan from December 19 to 25 to intensify grievances redressal and doorstep service delivery in their respective jurisdictions.
Emphasizing livelihood generation, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted capitalization of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), youth engagement through Mission YUVA and effective implementation of self-employment schemes.
During the review of the health sector, she directed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate availability of doctors and medical staff so that patients receive timely, quality healthcare services. The Social Welfare Department was instructed to maximize coverage of eligible beneficiaries under various welfare schemes.
Financial inclusion emerged as a key focus area, with the Deputy Commissioner directing banks and line departments to ensure maximum enrollment under schemes such as PM Shram Yogi Maandhan, PMJJBY and PMSBY.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed each sector in detail and instructed executing agencies to prepare clear action plans and work schedules to ensure timely completion of all projects.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Reasi, Sukhdev Singh, CPO, Narinder Kumar, DSEO, CAO, CAHO, DSHO and other senior district officers.
