Baramulla : Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Baramulla, commenced the 5-Day Trekking Expedition for Girls at the picturesque destination of Pahalgam, marking another significant step towards promoting adventure sports and outdoor learning among young girls of the district.
The trekking expedition was flagged off on Monday from Karipa Park, Baramulla. A total of 47 girl students from various parts of District Baramulla, accompanied by 10 escort teachers, are participating in the programme with great enthusiasm and zeal.
The trekking expedition aims to promote adventure tourism, physical fitness, environmental awareness, and self-confidence among girls, while encouraging their active participation in outdoor and challenging activities.
