DC Kupwara directs R&B to make Drugmulla-Hatmulla Bridge operational at earliest

Kupwara : On the demand of local residents, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Wednesday visited Drugmulla to review the issue of the non-operational bridge between Drugmulla and Hatmulla.
He was accompanied by the Tehsildar Drugmulla and other concerned officers.
During the visit, te DC interacted with the local residents who apprised him of the hardships they face due to the non-functional bridge, compelling them to travel through a longer and inconvenient route.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned engineers of the R&B Department to expedite the pace of work of approach road to the bridge. Executive Engineer R&B Handwara assured that the bridge would be made operational by the end of March 2026.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the public that all genuine issues would be addressed on priority to improve infrastructure and public services in the area.
