Srinagar, 17 Dec: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President and MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi  Wednesday expressed deep concern over the fire incident that broke out in the Shaheed Gunj area of Srinagar.

Pardesi lauded the swift and coordinated response of the Fire and Emergency Services, police personnel, and local residents, whose timely efforts helped prevent the blaze from spreading further in the densely populated locality. He underscored the urgent need to strengthen fire safety mechanisms and preparedness, particularly in congested residential areas, to avert such incidents in the future.

The MLA said he is personally monitoring the situation and is in constant touch with the concerned departments to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected families.

Ahsan Pardesi also sought adequate relief and compensation for the affected families and stressed the need for immediate support, including essential supplies and heating arrangements, to help them withstand the harsh winter conditions. He assured that no affected family would be left unattended and that all eligible beneficiaries would receive compensation and institutional support at the earliest.
