Ganderbal: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, Br MSME DFO Srinagar held a stakeholder meeting at Sonamarg with the Chief Executive Officer, Sonamarg Development Authority, and local hoteliers to examine the feasibility of establishing a Laundry Common Facility Centre (CFC) under the MSE–Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP).
During the meeting, Assistant Director, MSME, Saheel Alaqband explained in detail the guidelines of the MSE-CDP Scheme and highlighted that financial assistance up to 95% is available from the Government for eligible projects, enabling MSMEs and service enterprises to avail substantial support for common facilitation centre.

The CEO, Sonamarg Development Authority, Bilal Mukhtar, welcomed the initiative of the Ministry of MSME and stated that if the hoteliers come forward collectively, the proposed facility would prove to be extremely beneficial for the hospitality sector in Sonamarg.
On the occasion, certificates were also distributed among the participants who had attended the one-week Management Development Programme on Customer Handling and Effective Communication conducted in the month of October.
The President, Beopar Mandal, stated that the programme had been extremely successful and that a visible improvement has been observed in the operations of hotels, cafes, and restaurants.
