Drug Peddler arrested In Pulwama, Contraband Substance Recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and alo recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that during a routine naka checking at New Circular Road near Barpora Crossing, a police party from Police Station Pulwama intercepted a susectl. Upon searching the suspect identified as Mohd Yaseen, son of Mohd Ramzan Bhat from Kareemabad, Pulwama, officers recovered 6 grams of a substance resembling heroin. Following the arrest, Yaseen was taken to the police station, where he remains in custody. The police have registered a case under FIR No. 284/2025, and an investigation is currently underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat drug menace in the district and appealed people to assist it by reporting any information related to drug trafficking or other criminal activities to the nearest police station.
