Baramulla : The House Committee, constituted by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to probe alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Monday conducted an on-spot inspection of JJM schemes in Baramulla district.
The Committee, led by Chairman Hasnain Masoodi, MLA, visited various sites in the district to assess the ground-level implementation of the JJM programme. The inspection aimed at reviewing progress, quality of works, and adherence to guidelines, besides addressing issues and concerns raised by the public.
During the visit, officers concerned briefed the Committee about the status of schemes, challenges faced in execution, and steps being taken to ensure timely completion and delivery of safe drinking water to households.
The Committee emphasized transparency, accountability, and effective monitoring to ensure that the benefits of the Jal Jeevan Mission reach the intended beneficiaries.
The visit reflects the Legislature’s commitment to strengthening oversight and improving service delivery in the district.
