Kulgam: Under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan, Monday flagged off 46 farmers of the district for a five-day exposure visit to Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur (HP) under the Promotion of Oilseeds programme, 2025–26.
The exposure visit aims to familiarize farmers with advanced agricultural technologies, improved oilseed cultivation practices, and innovative farming techniques to enhance productivity and farmer’s income in the district.
On the occasion, the DC highlighted the significance of such exposure visits in capacity building of farmers and promoting the adoption of scientific and sustainable agricultural practices under HADP.
Chief Agriculture Officer Kulgam, Farooq Ahmad Reshi, along with other officers of the Agriculture Department, were present on the occasion and assured continued technical support to the farming community.
The initiative is expected to contribute significantly towards strengthening oilseed production and overall agricultural development in Kulgam district.
