Gnaderbal: Agriculture department Ganderbal Monday organized a district-level sensitization workshop ‘Yuva Vani 2.0’, a large-scale Youth Club campaign under the JKCIP (Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project).
The workshop was organized for identified Youth Clubs from designated blocks of the district to equip the youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle pressing environmental challenges. The training sessions focused on three critical areas viz. rejuvenation of water bodies, solid waste management and weather awareness.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore presided over the event, and released a booklet on ‘Kisan Sampark Abhiyan- JKCIP’.
Addressing the gathering, DC highlighted the pivotal role of youth in nation-building and environmental stewardship. He encouraged the club members to act as ambassadors of change in their respective blocks, taking the lessons learned from the workshop back to their communities.
He said this workshop holds immense significance to train Youth Club members to engage with the community for environmental conservation.
He urged them to formulate DPRs timely for the environmental conservation projects without compromising the quality. He also directed the concerned department to give full cooperation to nominated youth clubs for the said programme and ensure timely action in the field.
