Jammu: In a run-up to the nationwide ‘SushasanSaptah – Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign to be observed from December 19 to 25, 2025, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo reviewed the preparedness of districts in a meeting attended by Administrative Secretaries and all Deputy Commissioners. The meeting focused on ensuring coordinated planning, effective public outreach and successful implementation of the campaign across Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the review meet Chief Secretary emphasized the necessity of ongoing public engagement and effective grievance redressal, advocating for enhanced transparency and accountability. He urged all departments and district administrations to collaborate closely to ensure the success of the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign, which aims to provide tangible benefits to citizens and reinforce a commitment to citizen-centric governance. Administrative Secretaries contributed strategic suggestions to bolster coordination, improve monitoring mechanisms, and achieve the program’s objectives across districts. The Commissioner Secretary of the General Administration Department, M. Raju, highlighted that the campaign, organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), seeks to promote good governance by addressing public grievances and enhancing service delivery at the grassroots level. As part of the initiative, District Collectors will conduct special camps at tehsil headquarters, panchayats, and other local institutions for immediate grievance resolution and service application processing. The campaign also aims to increase online service delivery and ensure timely grievance resolution through various platforms, including special camps and state portals. The preparatory phase will precede the implementation phase, scheduled from December 19 to 25, 2025, during which daily progress will be documented on a dedicated portal. This will include data on grievances resolved, services added for online delivery, and successful governance practices. During a review meeting, Deputy Commissioners provided insights on the special camps, grievance redressal efforts, and service delivery initiatives planned for their districts. Additionally, district-level dissemination workshops will be held on December 23, 2025, focusing on good governance practices and initiatives from the past five years in sectors such as public service delivery, health, education, and public works. These workshops will feature a retired IAS officer with prior district experience and will showcase significant governance initiatives. The best practices shared will be compiled and made available on the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ portal for replication nationwide.
