Jammu/ Dec,15 : Police in Jammu on Monday arrested two accused hours after an attack on Sub Inspector Nitin Khajuri Sunday evening .
In a statement issued here on Monday District Police Jammu said that Nitin Khajuria,Investigating Officer of Police Station Bakshi Nagar was intercepted and attacked by a group of goons – Rishab, Munna D, and two unidentified individuals at Gurrah Morh. Stating that the assailants attacked Khajuria with a tokka (sharp object weapon) and also brandished a pistol,Police in its statement further said that SI Nitin sustained injuries and was rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment.
Police in its statement further said that taking cognisance a case under FIR No. 158/2025 was registered under relevant sections of at Police Station Bakshi Nagar. “Special teams were constituted to apprehend the accused persons and while using technical and human intelligence, police teams traced the criminals to the Nikki Tawi area” reas the Police statement, adding therein that “While on the run in the darkness in Tawi area Rishab and Munna D fell down and suffered injuries following which both the accused were arrested & shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment” .
Police in its statement also said that further Investigation is going on and efforts are also on to identify and apprehend the two remaining unknown suspects .
