ADC Bhaderwah reviews measures to check illegal mining, regulate rates of minor minerals

Bhaderwah : Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal Saturday chaired a meeting to review measures in place to check illegal mining and the rates of minor minerals in the sub division.
The meeting was held in ADC office chamber and attended by Tehsildars, District Mineral officer, Range officer, Inspector Fisheries and representatives from various Departments.
The ADC took a detailed review of measures being taken to curb illegal mining and emphasized strict enforcement of rules to prevent unauthorized extraction and transportation of minor minerals. Officers were directed to intensify inspections, ensure regular monitoring, and take firm action against violators as per law.
The ADC also reviewed the existing rates of minor minerals and stressed the need for transparency and proper regulation to safeguard government revenue. Officials were instructed to ensure that mineral extraction is carried out only through approved permits and in an environmentally responsible manner.
