3-day Sports event concludes at GMC Udhampur

Udhampur :  The Government Medical College Udhampur organized a grand three-day Sports Event, which concluded Tuesday here at the Subash Stadium.

The event, organized under the guidance of Dr. ParmodKalsotra, Principal, GMC Udhampur, aimed at promoting   physical fitness, teamwork and stress management among MBBS students, faculty members and college staff in adherence to the National Medical Commission guidelines.

Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai graced the concluding event as the chief guest. She lauded the initiative of GMC Udhampur for providing a vibrant platform to the students to showcase their sportsmanship and athletic excellence.

The closing ceremony was also attended by  Administrator Davinder Singh Katoch; CAO Dr. Lokesh Gupta,  senior faculty members, organizing committee members and a large gathering of students and staff.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. ParmodKalsotra emphasized the significance of sports in medical education, highlighting that well-balanced physical and mental health is essential for producing competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. He commended the Sports Committee for meticulously planning and executing the event.

A series of competitive events including athletics, team sports and recreational activities were organized during the 3 day event, witnessing enthusiastic participation and exceptional performances from the students. The event fostered a spirit of discipline, unity, and camaraderie among all participants.
