Bandipora :: Acting on the directions of the Transport Commissioner, J&K, the ARTO Bandipora team conducted an extensive traffic enforcement drive across the district tosay, aimed at curbing traffic violations and strengthening road safety measures.

During the day-long drive, the enforcement team inspected around 170 vehicles at multiple locations in Bandipora. The checks focused on detecting violations related to driving without documents, overloading, rash driving, and other offences posing risks to public safety.

As part of the enforcement action, the team issued over 50 e-challans to erring motorists for various violations. A fine amount of ₹50,000 was collected on the spot.

Additionally, in cases of serious and repeated offences, the ARTO office recommended suspension of six driving licenses as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
