Wagoora, Dec 08: District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Safina Baig on Monday convened a comprehensive review meeting at Wagoora with heads of all key departments to assess the five-year performance and progress of ongoing and completed works across the block.
Officials from the Rural Development Department (RDD), Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Power Development Department (PDD), Agriculture, Sports, and the Tehsil Administration Wagoora attended the meeting. Tehsildar Wagoora Tahir Ahmad Malik was also present.
During the session, the Chairperson conducted a detailed review of developmental works carried out in all Panchayats over the past five years. She directed officers to ensure transparency, dedication, and public-friendly service delivery, stressing that employees must uphold honesty while dealing with citizens.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Safina Baig highlighted that during her tenure she ensured that all initiated projects were completed and inaugurated properly. She added that she never inaugurated any project that was not genuinely completed or executed under her administration.
She reiterated that politics must be guided by honesty and commitment, and reaffirmed her resolve to continue working for the welfare and development of the people with utmost sincerity.
