DDC Ramban reviews functioning of KKGs, working of Krishi Udyamis; distributes Modern Bee Hives among farmers

Ramban: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Saturday chaired a review meeting to assess progress under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) with a focus on the functioning of Kisan KhidmatGhars (KKGs) and the handholding of Krishi Udyamis (KUs).

The DDC reviewed infrastructure at KKGs, availability of IT equipment, Wi-Fi installation, daily KU reporting, CSC onboarding and the status of Seed and Fertilizer License issuance. He stressed the need for improved field presence, timely reporting and stronger interdepartmental coordination for efficient service delivery to farmers.

On the occasion, the DDC distributed modern bee hives to registered beneficiaries under the Promotion of Apiculture component, aimed at encouraging scientific beekeeping and enhancing farmers’ income.

Addressing farmers, the DDC highlighted Ramban’s favourable climate for apiculture and assured continuous technical support from the Agriculture Department. He directed all departments to work in mission mode to achieve physical and financial targets under HADP. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to agricultural diversification and enhancing farmers’ income.

The DDC appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture and allied departments and instructed officers to work in mission mode to achieve the district’s physical and financial targets under HADP.

Chief Agriculture Officer Ramban, Dr. Vinay Kumar Jandial assured the DDC that all departments would continue to work in a coordinated and mission-driven manner to meet the set targets and provide the best possible services to the farming community.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Sericulture Officer, Assistant Director Fisheries, District Agriculture Officer, Area Marketing Officer and other concerned officials.
