Charar-i-Shareef : Alamdar Memorial College of Nursing and Medical Technology, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Charar-i-Shareef, observed World AIDS Day today by organizing a series of educational and community outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening understanding, prevention, and public responsibility related to HIV/AIDS.
The program aimed to enhance awareness of HIV/AIDS within both global and local contexts, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, stigma reduction, and the role of healthcare education institutions in fostering informed communities. Faculty members underscored the need for youth engagement and collaboration among institutions to combat misinformation and encourage responsible health behaviors. Students actively participated by delivering thematic presentations and engaging in discussions that covered various aspects of HIV/AIDS, including transmission, prevention strategies, treatment advancements, and the necessity for compassionate support for those affected. A poster presentation featured creative awareness messages promoting safe practices and community solidarity. The event culminated in an awareness rally, where students and faculty members marched across the campus and surrounding areas, carrying banners and chanting slogans to extend their outreach to the broader public.
