Jammu, December 6: A devastating road accident in Dada Sarthal area of Kishtwar district on Saturday claimed the lives of four members of a single family, officials confirmed.
According to details, a Chevrolet vehicle (Registration No. DL5CE-5634) was travelling towards Drabshalla when it skidded off the road, resulting in a fatal crash. Three family members died on the spot, while one critically injured person was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Ranjeet Singh (35), son of Late Poran Chand
- Simran Thakur (21), daughter of Om Prakash
- Ashu (6 months), daughter of Ranjeet Singh
- Jyoti Devi (30), wife of Ranjeet Singh
All were residents of Mangal Thata Dessa.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
