Pulwama: The Central Prabhari Officer for Aspirational Blocks, Sushant Sudan from NITI Aayog, undertook an official visit to Aspirational Block Ichgoza, Pulwama to comprehensively assess the developmental progress being made under the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) and to review the on-ground implementation of key flagship initiatives of the Government of India.

As part of the schedule, Sushant Sudan paid an important visit to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Rajpora, where he carried out a detailed and exhaustive inspection of the entire institution. During this extensive review, he examined all service delivery sections, administrative units, clinical departments, emergency services, diagnostic facilities, labour room, IPD/OPD services, and other critical sections of the CHC. He assessed the overall infrastructure quality, record-keeping practices, patient management systems, public health indicators, availability of essential services, and the status of implementation of various national health programmes.

The CHC administration presented detailed departmental reports and structured presentations, outlining achievements, ongoing activities, innovations, gaps identified, and strategies proposed for further strengthening.

The Central Prabhari Officer also interacted with doctors, paramedical staff, field workers, and patients, gathering firsthand insights regarding service accessibility, staff requirements, community health challenges, and institutional performance.

He appreciated the efforts of the health authorities and commended the administration of CHC Rajpora, adding that the institution has been maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery. He further remarked that CHC Rajpora is providing next-level services, significantly benefitting the residents of far-flung, hilly, and tribal areas, thereby ensuring improved access to quality healthcare.

Following the CHC inspection, Sushant Sudan and the accompanying team visited multiple sites across Aspirational Block Ichgoza, Pulwama, to evaluate the developmental progress in various key sectors, verify the field-level implementation of government schemes, and assess improvements in priority indicators identified under the Aspirational Blocks Programme.

The visit reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to strengthening healthcare systems, promoting inclusive and equitable development, and ensuring transparent, accountable, and effective delivery of public services across the Aspirational Block Ichgoza, Pulwama.

The assessments and feedback provided by Sushant Sudan are expected to play a pivotal role in guiding future interventions and accelerating progress under the ABP framework.
