  • Jammu, Dec 5 : Northern Railway’s Jammu Division on Friday announced the addition of an extra AC coach to the Jammu–Delhi Rajdhani Express to facilitate passengers affected by recent flight cancellations.

The additional coach will be attached to Train No. 12426/12425 operating on the Jammu–Delhi rail section from December 5 to December 11, officials told the Kashmir News Service

The measure aims to accommodate passengers stranded due to disruptions in air services and ensure smooth travel by rail.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said, “This immediate decision has been taken by the railway administration keeping in mind the convenience of passengers.

Due to flight cancellations, an additional 3rd AC coach with 72 seats will be attached to train number 12426/12425 to accommodate affected passengers.”

He added that every effort is being made to ensure facilities for travelers during this challenging situation. Passengers seeking information can dial 139 or contact the nearest railway station, he said.

The railway administration said the move reflects its commitment to providing uninterrupted travel options amid unforeseen disruptions in air transport.(KNS)
