Srinagar : During routine inspections of hotels and guest accommodations in the Rafting Point general area, a police party from Police Station Pahalgam on Thursday conducted checks to ensure compliance with legal and security regulations.

In a statement issued here on Thursday during an inspection Hotel Golden Heritage in Rafting Point, Yenner, was found to have hosted two foreign nationals from Thailand without proper reporting. The hotel management intentionally concealed their stay and failed to submit the required Form C online, which is essential for the registration of foreign guests. This action violates The Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, which mandates strict reporting protocols for hotels and accommodation providers. Such violations raise significant concerns regarding public safety and security. In response to this breach police registered a case under FIR No. 79/2025 against the hotel management under Sections 8 and 23(b) of The Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, at the Pahalgam Police Station. An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to enforce compliance with legal and security regulations and urged all hotel owners and accommodation providers to follow
