DC Kupwara reviews performance of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna

KUPWARA, DECEMBER 5: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress achieved under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna.

During the meeting, Executive Engineers of KPDCL Handwara and Kupwara were directed to give special focus to increasing the pace of the installation of rooftop solar panels so that maximum households are benefitted with the scheme which aims to reduce the power bill of the consumers.

On the occasion, various vendors raised their issues before the chair about pendencies from different bank branches in disbursal of the loan applications. The DC directed the Lead District Manager and cluster head to ensure clearing of all pending cases within a weeks’ time positively.

 He directed the KPDCL to hold door to door survey so that the interested households are facilitated. Vendors were also directed to ensure pending installations in next 10 days.

The DC also directed KPDCL to complete pending inspections and vendor handling smart metering to ensure speedy installations smart meters for scheme beneficiaries.

It was informed that in the district 1152 solar rooftops have been installed through this scheme.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Executive Engineers of PDD Kupwara and Handwara, AEEs, Cluster head JK bank, LDM, and registered vendors.
