ildlife Warden, Central Kashmir division Parvez Ahmad Wani, said that public needs to move with caution and people need to step out only in groups for essential errands or prayers. “Avoid venturing into parks, lakesides, or secluded areas. Safety is our priority,” he said.
The official also warned against circulating or creating AI-generated bear videos, revealing that two FIRs have already been lodged. “Those indulging in such activities will face action,” he added.
He said, it has also been observed people are seen chasing bear and documenting him over videos which is dangerous and it should be avoided.
Meanwhile, Srinagar residents continue to follow the unfolding drama with a mix of concern and humor, joking that the bear is perhaps exploring the city.
Moreover, search operations are ongoing, with wildlife teams stationed strategically to ensure both human and animal safety until the bear is safely relocated
