MRI Services at SMHS, Super Specialty Hospital to Remain Temporarily Suspended for Maintenance from Dec 04

Srinagar : The Administrator Associated Hospitals has informed that the MRI Unit of Government Medical College at Government SMHS/Super Specialty Hospital Shreen Bagh, Srinagar, is scheduled to undergo maintenance, including de-icing of the magnet, with effect from 04 December 2025 to ensure optimal performance and uninterrupted functioning of the facility.

The de-icing process is expected to take approximately two weeks, during which MRI services at Government SMHS/Super Specialty Hospital Srinagar will remain temporarily unavailable.

The Administrator has further informed that during this period, MRI examinations for patients of Government SMHS and Government Super Specialty Hospital will be facilitated at Government Psychiatry Hospital Srinagar (IMHANS) and Government Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar.

The general public and patients have been requested to extend their cooperation to ensure smooth continuation of essential diagnostic services.
