Reasi : District Legal Services Authority, Reasi organised an awareness program held on Wednesday to mark the observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme “Fostering Disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.”
This initiative was effectively overseen by Shazia Tabasum, Member Secretary JK Legal Services Authority, Khalil Ahmed Choudhary, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge Reasi) and Pooja Gupta, Secretary DLSA.
The program was organised at Primary Health Centre Panthal, Katra. Dr. Savita was the resource person. The program was attended by Medical staff, local masses and PLVs. The objective of the program was to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities across political, social, economic and cultural spheres and to sensitize participants about prevention, early identification, rehabilitation and mainstreaming of persons with disabilities.
In addition to this, a Legal Awareness program regarding the SAMWAD Scheme was also organised at Mountaineer Convent High School, Mahore. Panel Lawyer Advocate Imran Akram was the resource person. The students were made aware about the scheme.
