Rajouri : The Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies and Research, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), organized a two-day workshop on Mobile Journalism for the maiden batch of the PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal emphasized the significance of a new initiative aimed at enhancing innovative media education at the University. Dr. Danish Iqbal Raina, Coordinator of the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies and Research, expressed gratitude towards Prof. Iqbal and Registrar Mr. Abhishek Sharma for their ongoing support in establishing the course. Mr. Asrar Ghaus, Coordinator of CHT, praised the center for organizing practical training sessions that are beneficial for students. The workshop featured an intensive session led by Mr. Sumit Bhargav, a prominent journalist and documentary filmmaker, who focused on the fundamentals of mobile journalism. He provided students with guidance on essential applications and tools for capturing, editing, and producing news content using smartphones. Haseena Jameel, Assistant Professor in Journalism and Mass Communication, facilitated the event and outlined the workshop’s objectives and structure.
