Pulwama: Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and recovered contraband substance from his possession during naka checking at Rajpora Crossing on the New Circular Road.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that a police party intercepted an Alto 800 vehicle (JK13A-8847), driven by Shabir Ahmad Teli S/O Ghulam Hassan Teli, R/O Drabgam. During the search, four sticks of Charas-like substance weighing 64 grams were recovered. The vehicle used in the crime was also seized. A case under FIR No. 278/2025 has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and further investigation is underway. In its statement Police appealed people to report any drug-related activity, reaffirming its commitment to a drug-free society.
