November 29: Police in Anantnag conducted a comprehensive mock drill at Bijbehara Railway Station aimed at assessing and enhancing the preparedness, coordination, and operational efficiency of security forces in responding to emergency situations.

The exercise was carried out jointly by the J&K Police, Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, CRPF (90 Bn) and Army (3rd RR). A series of emergency scenarios were simulated to test the effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures and to ensure swift, coordinated action among all participating agencies during real-time incidents.

All teams demonstrated high levels of professionalism, readiness, and synergy throughout the drill, which concluded successfully while meeting its intended objectives.

Mock drills such as this form an integral part of security planning for maintaining public safety and ensuring the smooth functioning of the railway network. They help in refining response mechanisms, boosting inter-agency cooperation, and strengthening overall security infrastructure.

J&K Police, in coordination with GRP authorities, reiterated their commitment to providing a secure environment for passengers and safeguarding vital railway infrastructure.
