Srinagar: Chief Minister’s Advisor and senior National Conference (NC) leader, Nasir Aslam Wani on Thursday said that Member Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi was ‘not invited’ to the ongoing Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the party in Srinagar.
Talking to reporters after the day one of the meeting, Wani, according to the news agency—, said the two-day working committee session was still underway, with deliberations continuing on several key issues and resolutions expected to be framed after discussions conclude.
“It is too early to say anything right now. The working committee session is still going on for two days and discussions are in progress. We have a large number of members and so far, around 19–20 members have spoken,” Wani said adding the session will continue tomorrow as well, after which resolutions will be framed,” he said.
Asked whether Srinagar MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi was invited to the meeting, Wani replied briefly, “No, he was not invited.”
