Srinagar : Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Gulam Ali Khatana on Thursday visited the victims and survivors of the Nowgam blast, engaging with affected families in various locations including Natipora, Police Colony Bemina, Qamarwari, and Ghazaliabad.
During his visit Khatana reassured the victims of the unwavering support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Lieutenant Governor administration, emphasizing that all necessary relief and rehabilitation measures would be provided. Khatana expressed his condolences, highlighting the resilience of the Kashmiri spirit despite the tragedy. He committed to ensuring that the Union Government would assist with medical care, housing, and livelihood support for the victims and their families. His interactions included inquiries about the families’ well-being and their specific needs for recovery, indicating a hands-on approach to understanding the situation. Additionally, Khatana visited the UJALA Cygnus Kashmir Super Speciality Hospital in Nowgam, where he met with medical staff and patients, acknowledging the hospital’s critical role in delivering timely care to those affected by the blast.
